Do plan for airflow and access
Keep the required manufacturer clearances around the unit and leave room for servicing. Ask us to assess the position before building screens, fences or planting around it.
Do consider noise, support and drainage
Discuss nearby bedrooms, neighbours, secure support and vibration control. Plan where operating and defrost water will go so it does not create a nuisance or slippery route.
Do agree the route and permissions
Pipe routes, access and the building affect the location. Tell us about landlord, freeholder or property restrictions and check any permissions required before work starts.
Do not hide it in a tight enclosure
Avoid blocking air inlets or outlets with bins, stored items, dense plants or covers. A decorative screen must still satisfy the specific equipment clearances.
Do not choose the location by appearance alone
Do not place the unit where it obstructs access or can only be serviced unsafely. Final positioning needs to suit the actual equipment and the surveyed property.
