Know your remote.

Common symbols

A sun often means heating; a snowflake, cooling; a fan, air circulation; and a droplet, dry mode. Symbols, buttons and supported functions vary. The illustrated remote is a generic guide.

Fan and dry are different

Fan-only circulates air without active heating or cooling. Dry mode is intended to reduce humidity under the model’s operating conditions; it is not a repair for damp, a leak or mould.

Automatic mode

Auto operation may choose heating or cooling, while an Auto fan setting controls fan speed. These are different settings. Check the wording on your remote and your equipment manual.

Find the right instructions

Send us the indoor-unit model and a clear photo of the controller if you need help identifying the right manual. Do not assume instructions for another model apply.

Reference example: Daikin FTXF-E operating manual. Check your own model’s instructions.
