Getting more from your air conditioning
Summer’s over. Comfort carries on.
Check your equipment
A heat-pump air conditioner can provide heating as well as cooling. Confirm the functions of your own system before changing settings.
Getting started
Select heating mode as shown in your manual and choose a comfortable target temperature. Start-up and defrost can interrupt warm airflow; check your model’s guidance before assuming there is a fault.
Using several rooms
Many domestic multi-split systems need active units to use compatible modes. Check this if one room is set to heat while another is set to cool.
Year-round care
If you use the equipment in winter as well as summer, tell us when arranging maintenance. For persistent faults, record the displayed code and contact the team.
